Job summary

Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital is seeking a night shift, full-time Medical Surgical RN (RN) in Tulsa, OK. The role focuses on direct patient care for medical/surgical patients using standard nursing processes.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, collaborating with the care team, and supporting the organization’s mission. Requires ADN or Diploma RN, active license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS within specified timelines; at least six months of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• ADN or Diploma RN licensed to practice.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS required within 60 days of hire.
• PALS required within 90 days of hire.
• Six months of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate and direct nursing care for medical/surgical patients per standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure quality patient care and outcomes.
• Serve as a resource during orientation and as directed.
• Support the organization’s mission and clinical guidelines.
• Apply knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity in care.
• Contribute to quality nursing through performance improvement initiatives.

Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for medical/surgical patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's in nursing (ADN) or Diploma RN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN License or Compact License, as deemed by the OK State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
• Six months previous nursing experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelors in nursing (BSBN) from an accredited school of nursing.
