Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Owasso, OK is seeking a Night Shift, Full-time Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join Bailey Medical Center. You will provide direct patient care, assess needs, and collaborate with the care team to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires ADN and RN license with BLS within 14 days, ACLS within 14 days, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN License or Compact License deemed by the OK State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care activities according to BMC standards to deliver quality patient care.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age of patients on the assigned unit.
• Apply growth and development principles to assess data reflecting patient status and age-specific needs.
• Develop, modify and implement the plan of care to deliver efficient, effective patient care as per policies.
• Adhere to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and institutional rules.
• Delegate nursing tasks to other staff based on patient need and staff qualifications.

Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
• May make decisions to delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other staff members based upon individual patient need and staff qualifications.
