Trinity Health Livingston Hospital in Howell is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Medical Surgical units and the Critical Care focus areas. This full-time night-shift role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-quality hospital team in Livingston County.

The position requires Michigan RN licensure (BSN preferred, NCLEX eligibility) and ACLS/BLS where applicable, with options to grow into CCU/PCU settings.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (Michigan RN)
• BSN preferred or working toward BSN within 5 years of hire
• CCU/PCU/Step-Down experience encouraged for applicable units
• BLS and ACLS required for designated departments

Position Overview

Supporting the 10 bed 3 South surgical unit and/or the 19-bed acuity adaptable blended unit, this is an exceptional opportunity for those with RN experience in a hospital setting. This will support our Critical Care Unit and those with CCU or PCU/Step-Down experience are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications

Education

Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.

Licensure

• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for the following departments: Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency and PCU at Livingston

Experience

Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply

Graduation from accredited nursing program.

Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.

Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs

Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description.

Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care

Shift

- Night Shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Status Available: Full-Time; Part-time Midnights Every Third Weekend and Rotating Holidays. required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.
