Trinity Health Livingston Hospital in Howell/Brighton area is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Medicine PCU/Step-Down teams. The RN will support a 10-bed surgical unit and a 19-bed acuity-adaptable unit, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The ideal candidate holds active Michigan RN licensure, BLS, ACLS for specified departments, and BSN within five years of hire. Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills are essential to excel in this hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing that enables sitting for the NCLEX to become a licensed RN. BSN preferred.
• State of Michigan RN license required.
• BLS certification; ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency and PCU at Livingston.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age-specific care.
• Interpersonal skills to establish collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Support the 10-bed 3 South surgical unit and the 19-bed acuity-adaptable blended unit.
• CCU/PCU experience is encouraged for the role.
• BSN must be obtained within five years of hire/transfer to an RN role.

An opportunity exists to join our exceptional team as a Registered Nurse (RN). Supporting the 10 bed 3 South surgical unit and/or the 19-bed acuity adaptable blended unit, this is an exceptional opportunity for those with RN experience in a hospital setting. This will support our Critical Care Unit and those with CCU or PCU/Step-Down experience are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications:

Education

Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.

Licensure

• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for the following departments: Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency and PCU at Livingston

Experience

• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs
• Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care

Shift: - Night Shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Status Available:

Full-time Midnights Every Third Weekend and Rotating Holidays. required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.
