REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - LIBERTY COMMONS OF ALAMANCE COUNTY

At Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services, we offer a challenging yet rewarding opportunity in a caring environment. We are currently seeking an experienced:

REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Full-Time, Nights - (7p-7a)

Job Description:
  1. Ensure quality nursing care for patients by following physician’s orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies.
  2. Administer medications (oral, SQ, IM, IV) as ordered by MD and according to facility policies.
  3. Supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
  4. Assist physicians during rounds as needed.
  5. Care for patients during MD rounds, physical exams, and treatments.
  6. Perform scheduled treatments and document appropriately, maintaining infection control measures.
  7. Follow all regulations related to cleanliness, infection control, and universal precautions.
  8. Support research related to nursing care quality as assigned.
  9. Assist with records, orders, assessments of new admissions, and scheduling physicals.
Job Requirements:
  1. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a valid North Carolina RN license.
  2. Maintain current license and submit renewal proof biennially.
  3. Provide quality nursing care, follow doctor’s orders, and demonstrate interest in geriatric nursing.
  4. CPR certification valid yearly.
  5. Participate in in-service training and staff meetings.
  6. Supervise nursing assistants ensuring timely completion of work.
  7. Dependable, flexible, cooperative, with patience and tact in working with patients, families, and staff.
  8. Capable of making sound nursing decisions, understanding the serious consequences of errors.
