AdventHealth South Overland Park in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery (LDRP). This full-time night shift role supports patient care from admission through discharge, with a $10,000 sign-on for eligible candidates.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer meds, educate families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license and BLS required.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience.
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients across physiological, psychological, and social domains.
• Develop and modify individualized care plans.
• Administer medications/treatments per orders and monitor reactions.
• Educate patients/families on conditions and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize care.
• Document care activities accurately in medical records.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. * Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
