Job summary

AdventHealth Overland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse for Progressive Care to join our Night shift team. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, implement care plans, administer meds, and educate families, while ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced unit.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), current RN license in Kansas, and BLS certification, with 1+ acute care experience.

• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physical, psychological, and social factors.

• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Sign-On Bonus:

$20,000.00 For eligible candidates

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
