Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery. This full-time, in-person role supports mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period within a patient-centered unit.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, BLS required within 30 days, ACLS and PALS within six months, and may have 1 year of experience plus ASLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough patient assessments and identifies care needs.
• Initiates nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely, accurate documentation supporting medical necessity.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.

The Labor & Delivery Unit at Raleigh General Hospital provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth experience. The unit specializes in caring for patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period while promoting a safe, supportive, and family-focused environment.

How You'll Contribute

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
