Job summary

AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift in our Altamonte Springs facility. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families to promote understanding and adherence.

Located just north of Orlando, this 393-bed campus consistently serves a wide community with top-tier nursing staff and resources.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and active license in Florida or eligibility
• Experience in acute hospital setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols

Schedule: 3/12-hour shifts

Hours: 1845 to 0715

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
