Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time, day shifts. The role includes comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient education. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and optimize care, while maintaining precise documentation and adherence to standards.

Required RN license and BLS, Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). 1+ acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's of Nursing is preferred.
• RN license and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in the medical record.

Shift:

Days, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
