Texas Health Alliance in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor and Delivery on full-time nights (36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am).

The unit features 14 LDR rooms, Level III NICU, and 24-bed postpartum/newborn care. Candidates need an ADN or nursing diploma (BSN preferred) and must obtain BCLS/ACLS/NRP/NRPA within specified timelines.

Qualifikationen

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• RN license upon hire and maintain.
• BCLS required prior to independent care.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• NRP within 90 days of hire.
• NRPA-Advanced NRP within 90 days of hire.
• CPI training annually within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year RN experience or RN residency.
• At least 1 year L&D experience strongly preferred.

Labor and Delivery Unit Department highlights

• Texas Health Alliance is a Texas 10-step designated facility.
• 14 LDR Rooms
• 4 OB/ED bays – with OB Hospitalists 24/7
• 2 OR suites
• Average between 160 deliveries per month and increasing.
• 24 bed Postpartum/Newborn, couplet care
• Level III Maternal designation
• Level III NICU

Here’s What You Need

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
• RN – Registered Nurse
• Upon Hire required – BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire
• NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• Req – NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days of hire
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program
• At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
