Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Garden, FL, seeks a Registered Nurse to join our full-time daytime staff at AdventHealth Winter Garden. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer meds, and educate families while collaborating with the care team.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications, and a strong focus on safety and quality care. Eligible for sign-on up to $10,000 and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required.
• English fluency in reading, speaking, and writing.
• BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and spiritual factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective teamwork.
• Document patient information, care activities, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Education

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
• Labor & Delivery experience required

Licenses And Certifications

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program - NRP [Required]
