Responsibilities

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Nursing will also provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care and demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
• One year full time experience in an acute care setting.
• RQI BLS and ACLS required.
• FHM and NRP within 6 months.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Must be able to identify and competently address the needs of the populations served.
