Job summary

Desert Care Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts at Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, CA. You will provide bedside nursing care and coordinate with care teams to support OB/L&D and patient-centered care.

Eligible candidates must hold a CA RN license with BLS; ACLS and NRP are required on orientation. A sign-on bonus up to $25,000 is available along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1yr or more in OB L/D experience needed.
• CA RN license; BLS.
• ACLS and NRP required on orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Delivers direct bedside nursing care per nursing process and patient needs.
• Acts as supervisor by directing other healthcare staff.
• Evaluates quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Participates in hourly rounding.
• Follows safety guidelines and work practices.
• May serve as shift supervisor when required.

• Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
• Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
• Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
• Participates in hourly rounding.
• Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
• May at times be asked to be in charge for a shift(s).

Qualifications

1yr or more in OB L/D experience needed

• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. BLS.
• ACLS required upon orientation completion.
• NRP and Advanced Fetal Monitoring required upon completion of orientation.
