Miami Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Austin Emergency Dept. This PRN position requires a minimum of 36 hours per 6-week schedule, with varied shifts.

The RN will provide direct patient care, advocate for patients and families, and collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure safe, evidence-based outcomes. The ideal candidate holds an Ohio RN license, has 1 year of ER experience, and preferably a BSN.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of current Emergency Dept RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

The Clinical Nurse-CN-Supp is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support that impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the interprofessional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN Preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN license

Experience: Minimum 1 year of current Emergency Dept RN experience is required.
