Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg is seeking an ICU RN to join our 3x12 day shift team. You will provide high-acuity nursing care, perform procedures, and support families in a fast-paced environment.

You will hold a Tennessee or compact-state RN license, have an associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), and bring strong critical thinking with calm decision-making under pressure. The role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants and a comprehensive

• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process per scope and standards.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, perform treatments, and document care.
• Monitor and communicate patient status to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines during transfers and discharges.

The Intensive Care Unit is a close-knit team that provides comprehensive, high-acuity care to critically ill patients through evidence-based practice, advanced technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

How You'll Contribute

An ICU RN who excels in this role:

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Tennessee or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire.
• Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
• Licenses: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
• Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.

STRHS-Lawrenceburg, formerly Crockett Hospital, is a 99-bed, acute care facility located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, 85 miles south of Nashville. We have been providing the best healthcare in Lawrence County and surrounding counties in Southern Middle Tennessee since 1974. We expanded the facility and services in 1991 with the addition of an Outpatient Surgery Unit, a state-of-the-art 24-hour physician-staffed Emergency Department, and an Intensive Care Unit. The hospital opened a 10-bed Physical Rehabilitation Unit in 1997, and a Women's Health Center in 1999. Diagnostic imaging services include in-house MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, X-ray, Digital Mammography and Ultrasound. The Rehabilitation Unit provides Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies. In 2009, a $5.6 million construction was completed which expanded the Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery Unit and Registration area.
