Lifepoint Health, in partnership with Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg, is seeking a Clinic LPN for a full-time days position. You will work under RN supervision, provide patient care, document interventions, and assist with care planning in a clinic setting.

Requirements include a Tennessee LPN license, graduation from a Practical Nursing program, BLS within 7 days of hire, and about one year of prior nursing experience. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Requires current Tennessee or compact-state LPN license.
• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 7 days of hire.
• One-year nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including specimens collection and wound care.
• May administer medications.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist RN with plan of care development.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions.
• Advocate for patient physical and emotional well-being.
• Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtain insurance re-authorizations for tests and scheduled procedures.

How You'll Contribute

A Clinic LPN who excels in this role:

• As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Tennessee or compact state LPN license and be a graduate of a Practical Nursing program. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire.
• Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
• Licenses: LPN License for the State of Tennessee.
• Education: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.

STRHS-Lawrenceburg, formerly Crockett Hospital, is a 99-bed, acute care facility located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, 85 miles south of Nashville.

We have been providing the best healthcare in Lawrence County and surrounding counties in Southern Middle Tennessee since 1974. We expanded the facility and services in 1991 with the addition of an Outpatient Surgery Unit, a state-of-the-art 24-hour physician-staffed Emergency Department, and an Intensive Care Unit. The hospital opened a 10-bed Physical Rehabilitation Unit in 1997, and a Women's Health Center in 1999. Diagnostic imaging services include in-house MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, X-ray, Digital Mammography and Ultrasound. The Rehabilitation Unit provides Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies. In 2009, a $5.6 million construction was completed which expanded the Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery Unit and Registration area.
