Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN), Intake Behavioral Health Weekend in Valdese, NC.

Position Details

Type: Weekend Days

Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (Eligible)

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health Intake, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care, utilizing your specialized skills and innovative technology to impact patient wellbeing positively. Your responsibilities include performing plan-of-care interventions, documenting patient care, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with activities of daily living, and collaborating across disciplines to coordinate care.

Qualifications
  • Current state RN license
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire
  • One year of experience preferred
  • ASLS certification preferred

Department/Unit Details
  • 3 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm
  • 81-bed campus
  • All patients aged 18 and older
  • 24-hour security
  • Self-scheduling
  • Intake involves 2 shift intake and 1 shift in ED as Psych Liaison
Essential Functions
  • Perform plan-of-care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and treatments
  • Document patient care accurately
  • Monitor and communicate patient conditions
  • Assist with activities of daily living
  • Coordinate patient care across disciplines
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
  • Advocate for patient’s physical and emotional well-being
Application Process

Applicants should hold a current state RN license. Additional preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, experience, and certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and ASLS.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS certifications are required within six months.
