Sentara Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for IR, Intake and Recovery at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA. This full-time, day shift role requires weekend on-call. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Schedule options include 7:30am-5pm (Mon-Fri, 4 days/week) or 8am-4:30pm (Mon-Fri, 5 days/week). Weekend call is 4 hours every ~6 weeks. The RN provides competent nursing care per the nursing process, maintaining standards of practice, education,

Qualifications

• ASN or RN Diploma is required.
• RN licensure is required.
• BSN or MSN is preferred.
• BLS within 90 days of hire is required.
• ACLS within 1 year is required.
• At least 1 year RN experience is required; critical care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with ICU/ED teams for critical care and recovery care.
• Perform care in IR, Intake and Recovery areas.
• Adhere to professional standards and participate in ongoing education.

The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly.
