Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for IR, Intake and Recovery. This full-time, day-shift role requires weekend on-call; a $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

The RN will provide skilled nursing care, monitor patients, and coordinate with care teams in a fast-paced hospital setting. Minimum ASN/RN Diploma with RN licensure is required; BSN or MSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum ASN or RN Diploma is required.
• RN licensure is required; BLS within 90 days and ACLS within 1 year.
• At least 1 year of RN experience; critical care experience preferred (ICU/ED).

City/State Hampton, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for IR, Intake and Recovery at Sentara Careplex Hospital located in Hampton, Virginia. This is a full time, day shift position. This position requires weekend on-call as noted below.

$15,000 Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates! Hours Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 5pm, 4 days a week OR 8am - 4:30pm, 5 days a week Weekend Call: 4 hours on Saturday/Sunday about every 6 weeks (9am - 1pm)

Overview The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Education Minimum of ASN or RN Diploma (Required) BSN or MSN (Preferred) Certification/Licensure RN licensure (Required) BLS within 90 days of hire ACLS within 1 year Experience 1 year of RN experience (Required) Strongly prefer previous critical care experience (ICU, ED, etc) (Preferred)
