Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a night shift, full-time Inpatient Specialty Post-Surgical Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team. The role focuses on delivering safe, compassionate patient care on the unit and coordinating with ongoing post-surgical plans.

As a Med Surg RN, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care per hospital standards, ensure age-appropriate care, develop plans of care, and maintain compliance with the Oklahoma

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (per job posting).
• Current Oklahoma RN licensure.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care per HHS standards.
• Provide age-appropriate care for patients on the unit.
• Assess data reflecting patient status and identify age-specific needs.
• Develop, modify, and implement the plan of care to deliver quality patient care.

Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in nursing
• Current Oklahoma RN Licensure
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
