Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Medical Oncology - Day Shift

Join us as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Medical Oncology - Day Shift at Duke University Health System.

This role is based at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, part of Duke Health since 1998, serving Wake County with 204 inpatient beds and comprehensive cancer, cardiovascular, neuroscience, gastrointestinal, and wound care services.

Unit and Role Overview

NP 5200, a 37-bed adult medical/stepdown oncology unit, focuses on symptom management, chemotherapy administration, and end-of-life care, collaborating with multiple departments and part of Duke Cancer Institute Wake County.

Work Hours & Shifts

• 12-hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Up to 96 hours every 8 weeks, including weekends
• Major holidays on a rotating schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per physician orders and policies
• Assist in policy development and implementation
• Guide and support nursing staff and act as team leader when needed
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of materials and equipment

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; RNs with 1+ years of experience eligible for a $15,000 bonus
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• North Carolina nursing license or eligible for licensure
• BLS certification required
