Job summary

Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) – $15,000 Commitment Bonus (2 Years)

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, full-time days

Team

The Intermediate Medical Care team operates on a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. This unit has four beds with dedicated medical staff. Full-time and part-time employees rotate every third weekend and major holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments for angiography and medical surgery units.
  • Document patient care provided.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Qualifications
