Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Infusion to join our team on a PRN basis. Day shift, no weekends; you will provide direct patient care during infusion therapies, document accurately, and collaborate with the infusion team.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's degree (BSN preferred), have an active NC or compact RN license, and BLS with ACLS/PALS within defined timelines. Prior infusion experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact RN license required.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

At Haywood Regional Medical Center's Homestead location, we offer Ambulatory Infusion services in a safe, comfortable environment with relaxing treatment rooms and attentive staff. Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Our team includes Registered Nurses specializing in infusion services, a Certified Nursing Assistant and a dedicated Infusion Secretary.

What We're Looking For

• Licenses: Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate's degree required, BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
