Job summary

AdventHealth Calhoun is seeking a registered nurse for full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am, 3x12s with rotating weekends) to provide comprehensive care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will conduct patient assessments, administer medications and IV therapies, document care, and educate patients and families. RN license, BLS/ACLS required; Associate's degree required, BSN preferred. Sign-on bonus $15,000.

Qualifications

• RN license and certifications as required.
• 1+ year hospital/acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Must hold RN license and BLS/ACLS.

Responsibilities

• The RN conducts comprehensive patient assessments, monitors conditions, and prioritizes care needs.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
• Administers medications, IV therapies, treatments, and nursing procedures safely and accurately.
• Provides patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Documents assessments, interventions, treatments, and responses to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and promote positive outcomes.
• Advocates for patient safety and participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Job Description:

Up To 20% differential of total base pay based on level advancement, aligned to education and certification progression to support career growth.

• The Registered Nurse RN conducts comprehensive patient assessments, monitor patient conditions, and prioritize care needs based on physical, psychosocial, and clinical findings.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and nursing procedures safely and accurately while adhering to established clinical policies and standards.
• Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, discharge planning, and self-care practices to support recovery and ongoing wellness.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, treatments, and responses accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and promote positive outcomes.
• Advocate for patient safety, rights, and quality care by maintaining a safe environment and participating in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years prior hospital/acute care nursing experience [Preferred]
• Registered Nurse experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) [Required]
• NIHSS Certification [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$31.75 - $55.47
