The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wisconsin to hire RN staff for ICU, Critical Care and Step-Down/Progressive Care units in Wausau. Competitive pay at $36–$51 per hour across multiple shifts with FT, PT, and PRN opportunities.

New grads encouraged to apply and pathways to leadership and specialty roles available. These high-acuity units treat cardiac, post-surgical, telemetry and progressive-care patients.

Competenze

• RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility through a compact license.
• Completion of TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• 3+ years RN experience in high-acuity settings (ICU/CCU/Step-Down/Telemetry).
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred depending on department.

Mansioni

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to high-acuity patients.
• Care for patients with drips, chest tubes, central lines and other specialized interventions.
• Continuously assess patients and recognize changes in clinical condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.

$36–$51/Hour | Multiple Shifts | Full-Time, Part-Time & PRN

About the Units

These high-acuity units care for patients requiring close monitoring, advanced nursing interventions and specialized clinical care.

• Cardiac and cardiothoracic patients
• Post-surgical patients
• Telemetry and progressive-care patients
• Patients requiring higher-acuity monitoring
• Patients receiving IV drips and other advanced therapies
• Patients with chest tubes and central lines
• Complex admissions, discharges and transfers

What You'll Do

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to high-acuity patients
• Care for patients with drips, chest tubes, central lines and other specialized interventions
• Continuously assess patients and recognize changes in clinical condition
• Manage patients requiring advanced monitoring and therapies
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
• Coordinate admissions, discharges and patient transfers
• Educate patients and families throughout the care process
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Promote patient safety and evidence-based nursing practice

What We're Looking For

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
• Current RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility through a compact license,
• Completion of a Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• 3+ years practicing as an RN in a comparative setting for experienced nurses
• ICU, critical care, step-down, progressive care, telemetry or other high-acuity nursing experience
• Certification in specialty preferred
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred based on primary department
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply. Experienced nurses transitioning from Med-Surg, Telemetry, Step-Down, Progressive Care or other acute-care settings are also encouraged to apply.
