Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, invites experienced RNs to join our ICU team in Johnstown, PA. This full-time role features 12-hour shifts, some weekend coverage, and major holidays, with an up to $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license and active BLS/CPR certification.
• Two years acute care experience or cardiac unit experience; critical care preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, and trauma Nuрse course certifications either current or within 6–24 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer medications, collect specimens, and provide comprehensive nursing care.
• Document care and communicate patient status to the care team and family.
• Monitor patient condition and coordinate transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Educate patients and families, advocating for patient needs and safety.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Two years of acute care experience or One year of cardiac unit experience or Greater than Six months current employment as RN in a Critical Care Unit
• BSN, MSN Preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Current ACLS certification, Basic Dysrhythmia Course, Critical Care Course or acquire within 6 months of employment.
• Trauma Nurse Course current or acquire within 1 year
• PALS certification current or acquire within 2 years.
• CCRN Preferred
