Job summary

Bailey Medical Center in Owasso, OK is hiring a night shift ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time role. You will provide critical care in a high-acuity unit and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN with RN license (compact ok) and BLS, ACLS, and PALS within required timelines. BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license or compact license per OK State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS within 14 days of hire
• PALS within 14 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care per BMC standards.
• Must provide age-appropriate nursing care for patients across the life span.
• Develop, modify, and implement the plan of care to deliver quality patient care.
• Adhere to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and BMC policies.
• Delegate appropriate nursing tasks based on patient needs and staff qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• The RN is to plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
• The Registered Nurse may make decisions to delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other staff members based upon individual patient need and staff qualifications.
