Job summary

Bailey Medical Center in Owasso, OK is seeking a dedicated night shift ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. You will assess, plan, implement and document care for critically ill patients, providing age-appropriate treatment in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Required qualifications include ADN and an active RN license (or compact), with BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications within the required timelines; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license or compact license recognized by OK State Board.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• PALS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• BSN preferred from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care to deliver quality patient care.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide age-appropriate care for patients on assignment.
• Assess data reflective of patient status and identify requirements by age-specific needs.
• Plan for provision of patient care and modify the care plan per policy and standards.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• The RN is to plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
• The Registered Nurse may make decisions to delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other staff members based upon individual patient need and staff qualifications.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Associates in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN License or Compact License deemed by the OK State Board of Nursing
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 14 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 14 days of hire
