Job summary

Bailey Medical Center in Owasso, OK is seeking a Night Shift ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position. You will deliver comprehensive patient care using advanced technology and collaborate with a dedicated care team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license or Compact License deemed by the OK State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care per BMC standards to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span; assess data reflecting patient status; identify patient requirements by age-specific needs.
• Develop, modify and implement the plan of care per policies to deliver quality patient care.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act rules and regulations.
• Delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other staff based on patient need and staff qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• The RN is to plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
• The Registered Nurse may make decisions to delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other staff members based upon individual patient need and staff qualifications.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Associates in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN License or Compact License deemed by the OK State Board of Nursing
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 14 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 14 days of hire
