Job summary

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its ICU at night, with a 12-hour shift pattern and full-time schedule of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend. The team offers a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, physician coverage, and a supportive, high-acuity care environment.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (VA or compact), an associate degree in nursing, and meets BLS and ACLS requirements with relevant clinical experience. Hourly range: $33.19–$44.81.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a current RN VA or compact state license.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
• Experience in clinical area preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

What we're looking for
