Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Day Shift (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) with a 2-year commitment. Schedule: 3x12s. Holidays and weekends required. Sign‑on bonus: $15,000.

You will join a 12‑bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staffed with RNs and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), operating with a 1:2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio. Telehealth intensivists provide immediate support. The unit manages a diverse range of diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardiopulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
• Administer specialized treatments and monitor critical conditions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient's condition and age.
• Document care in the medical record with medical necessity.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate quality‑improvement assessments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

• Capacity to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
