Job summary

National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, AR, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU. The role involves patient assessments, administering treatments, and ensuring comfort and safety for a diverse patient population.

A current Arkansas RN license and a BSN from an accredited program are required. BLS within 30 days; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred; ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and identify needs
  • Initiate appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provide care aligned with patient condition and age
  • Document medical necessity and care plans in patient records
  • Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Conduct timely QA assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Join our team in the ICU where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred
  • ASLS certification preferred
