Job Type: PRN | Rotating

Wage scale: $46.93 - $65.70 per hour

Team

Lourdes Medical Center is a 35‑bed hospital located in Pasco, WA. Caregivers here are part of a close‑knit, mission‑driven team dedicated to compassionate, high‑quality patient care. Responsibilities
  • Shut off hour leadership and act as resource person for staff.
  • Assist in patient care and be responsible for overall quality of patient care in the facility.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
  • Determine staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, patient acuity and work/patient flow.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.
  • Float between staff to assist with problem‑solving.
  • Take patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and related services, and manage through established channels.
  • Perform role‑specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
  • Ensure staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
  • Integrate evidence‑based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Initiate weekend case management, utilization review screening, assist with D/C planning and swing intake.
Qualifications
  • Current state RN license.
  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BLS required.
  • 2–3 years of RN Emergency Department experience required.
  • 1 year of relevant supervisory experience preferred.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Must be able to quickly learn how to navigate multiple complex software systems.
  • Must be able to communicate with reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
