Job summary

Phoenix Hospice is seeking a Weekend Hospice Admissions RN in Springfield, MO and surrounding areas. This full-time role covers 10-hour shifts with Saturday through Monday schedules and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

You will lead admissions from curative to comfort-focused care with compassion, clinical excellence, and dignity. You’ll collaborate with intake coordinators, medical directors, facility staff, and physicians to ensure smooth, thoughtful admissions that prioritize what matters

Qualifications

• Hospice experience required.
• Active Missouri or Compact RN license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong assessment, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete hospice admissions and skilled nursing visits.
• Provide compassionate care and support to patients and families.
• Educate patients and families on conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes.
• Provide wound care and medication management.
• Document patient conditions and communicate changes to physicians.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team.
