Job summary

Hannibal Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee hospice nursing care delivered in patients' homes or residences. The RN will apply physician orders and professional skills to develop and implement a personalized plan of care that meets each patient’s unique needs while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and Hannibal Regional policies.

Qualified candidates have an approved Nursing School diploma, Missouri RN license, and at least two years of varied

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current MO RN license.
• Minimum of two years varied nursing experience; at least one year in acute setting preferred.
• Ability to assess and respond to patient and family needs in varied settings.
• Direct work and guide others; manage family emotional stress and adapt to lifestyles.
• Willing to travel; provide own reliable transportation; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the nature and quality of all nursing care hospice patients receive in their home or place of residence.
• Develop and implement a hospice plan of care using physician orders and professional skills.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and Hannibal Regional policies.

Overview

Responsible for the nature and quality of all nursing care hospice patients receive in their home, or place of residence. Utilizing physician orders and professional skills, the Registered Nurse develops and implements a hospice plan of care that meets each patient’s specific needs and is compliant with federal and state regulations, as well as Hannibal Regional’s policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
• Current license as a registered professional nurse in the State of Missouri
• Minimum of two years varied work experience as a professional nurse and preferably one of those years in an acute setting
• Demonstrates the ability to assess and respond to the needs of patients and families in varied settings
• Demonstrates the ability to direct the work of self and others, ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles
• Is flexible, yet organized, with ability to exercise sound judgment
• Travel is required; must provide own reliable transportation
• Clean driving record required
