Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the High-Risk Labor and Delivery Unit on the night shift. The role requires 36 hours per week with cross-trained responsibilities in scrubbing, circulating, recovering, and labor/delivery care.

Beneficial candidates have Labor and Delivery experience and Virginia or Compact licensure, with BLS/NRP/PALS in specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Previous Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• RN licensure in Virginia or Compact Multi-State license in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of hire; NRP within 6 months; PALS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit.
• Assist with scrubbing, circulating, recovering, and labor/deliver procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, maternal-fetal specialists and staff to deliver patient-centered care.
