Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy department. The RN will provide and coordinate comprehensive GI/endoscopy patient care, with 10-hour shifts and every other Saturday. On-call responsibilities supplement the FTE expectations.

Required are a nursing diploma or higher, an active RN license in the state, and BLS certification. The role involves direct patient care in a high-volume outpatient setting and adherence to established standards.

Pay Range

$38.20 - $57.30

Where You Will Work

The purpose of the Endoscopy Department at Advocate Christ Medical Center is to provide the outpatient with quality care through assessment, planning, intervention, education, preparation and performing GI/Pulmonary endoscopy procedures.

Endoscopy provides Phase I and II recovery care for the endoscopy patient to be discharged home after the procedure;, utilizing the same nursing process and standards as mentioned above.

We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
