Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. The RN adheres to standards of care, manages the environment to ensure resident/patient safety, and supervises the care activities performed by nursing assistants and helpers. Follows all North Shore policies and procedures and complies with the State Nurse Practice Act and applicable JCAHO standards.
