Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN is responsible for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care involves assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The RN ensures standards of care are met, maintains a safe environment, and supervises nursing assistants and helpers. Adheres to North Shore policies and procedures, performs duties as per the State Nurse Practice Act, and follows applicable JCAHO standards.

Requirements:
  • Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Meet all health requirements imposed by law
  • Effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Basic computer skills with willingness to learn company applications
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous post-acute care experience preferred
