Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in fast-paced environments and post-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Manage the safety environment of residents/patients and supervise nursing assistants.
• Adhere to policies and regulations including the State Nurse Practice Act.

Position Summary:

The RN, under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, is responsible for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The RN ensures standards of care are met, manages the environment for resident/patient safety, supervises nursing assistants and helpers, and adheres to all policies and procedures, including those of North Shore Healthcare, the State Nurse Practice Act, and JCAHO standards where applicable.

Requirements:

• Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements as per law
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
• Basic computer skills with aptitude to learn company applications
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Post-acute care experience preferred
