Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care, including assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations.
- Develop, maintain, and update individualized care plans.
- Monitor and report patient conditions accurately.
- Educate patients and families, documenting teaching efforts.
- Complete timely documentation and maintain clinical records.
- Delegate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
- Perform supervisory duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities.
- Assist during urgent situations like Code Blue or Rapid Response.
- Identify safety risks and implement precautions; ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties to support organizational effectiveness.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited RN program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- One year recent experience preferred, especially in acute care.
- Current RN license in Texas.
- BLS certification required; CRRN and ACLS preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of nursing standards, infection control, and wound care.
- Understanding of accreditation standards (TJC, CMS).
- Computer proficiency, critical thinking, organizational skills.
- Effective communication, ability to prioritize, and work independently.
- Maintain confidentiality and collaborate professionally.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and other physical activities.
- Exposure to bodily fluids and need for visual and auditory acuity.
