Job summary

Sedgebrook is recruiting a hospitality-minded Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise Quality of Life Specialists/Resident Assistants. This non-exempt, full-time role offers a night schedule (11 PM–7 AM) with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Applicants must hold a current RN license valid in the state, be available for emergencies, and participate in the care planning and assessment of residents.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure valid in the state of work.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies and provide patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and promote independence.
• Identify resident medical and behavioral changes and develop/modify care plans.
• Provide daily reports to the Director of Health Services on conditions, staffing, and supply needs.
• Deliver nursing care per physician orders and established standards and policies.
• Coordinate rehabilitative services and collaborate with other disciplines.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an RN:

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities and actively promote independent life-style of residents.
• Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and the development and monitoring of care plans and re-assessment of each resident.
• Provide daily report to the Director of Health Services concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
• Provide nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
• Ensure preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative services to residents and assists in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines.
