Texas Health Resources in Frisco, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse, RN (Full Time-Days) for PACU Main. The role involves delivering patient care, assessments, planning and execution of interventions, and ensuring safety and continuity of care in a fast-paced unit.

Requires RN licensure, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (BSN preferred). PACU or ICU experience is highly valued; on-site employment with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or Diploma Nurse Program completed.
• BSN degree preferred.
• RN licensure required upon hire.
• BCLS certification required before patient care.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the patient’s care.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates intervention effectiveness.
• Maintains age-specific safety and infection control.
• Provides information to patients and families.
• Ensures continuity of care across shifts and facilities.

Registered Nurse, RN (Full Time-Days) - PACU Main

Work location: Texas Health Frisco 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033

Work hours: Full Time - 36 Hours; Days; Three 12-hour shifts or four 9-hour shifts per week. Scheduled shifts may be 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM, including on-call requirements

PACU highlights:

• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
• Fast-Paced, high-volume department
• The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs.
• The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient's affiliations.
• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
• BSN preferred
• RN PACU experience highly preferred
• In lieu of PACU experience, two years of ICU experience as a RN strongly preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Pref And

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
