Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital-Houma is a Long-Term Acute Care hospital located in Houma, LA. We seek a Full-Time Registered Nurse for all shifts with ICU/Step-Down experience to care for patients with complex medical needs in a high-staff-to-patient ratio setting.

The RN will communicate changes in patients' condition with physicians and co-workers, perform nursing duties with supervision as needed, and contribute to a collaborative care environment focused on healing and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN licensure.
• ICU/CCU/Step-Down experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the LTAC setting.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to physicians and care team.
• Administer medications and manage treatments per physician orders.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.

AMG Specialty Hospital-HoumaisseekingFull TimeRegistered Nurses, RN for All Shifts with ICU/Step-downexperience! Ability to communicatewith physicians, CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient'sclinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.Respond quickly and accurately to changes in conditionor response totreatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in alldepartments with adequate supervision.Some of the medical conditions thatare commonly treated include but are not limited to; Respiratory Failurerequiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula.Depending on the complexity of these patients, they can require sedation/painmanagement, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management.Complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics. Chronicnon-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequentdressing changes. RN'swill beresponsible fordirect andindirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
