Horizons Care Center, part of Volunteers of America National Services, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado to deliver high-quality resident care using the nursing process and to lead shift routines. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, documentation, and collaborative care in a long-term care setting.

The position offers a pay range of $39-$46.50 per hour with a 3-day schedule (Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 6am–6pm).

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to plan and provide direct resident care.
• Plan, direct and carry out shift routines in the assigned unit.
• Observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel on duty.
• Assume Building Charge responsibilities as directed by the DON.
• Provide leadership and direction in the unit.
• Charting, documentation and routine assessments.
• Participate in committees to enhance interdisciplinary care.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

What You'll Be Responsible For

The Registered Nurse is to utilize the nursing process in planning and providing direct care to residents as assigned.

The nurse will plan, direct and carry out shift routines in assigned nursing unit and observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel as the person "in charge" according to the Nurse Practice Act.

Will assume "Building Charge" responsibilities as directed by the DON or Designee.

Provides leadership and direction in the assigned unit.

Resident Care Functions.

Charting, Documentation and Assessment Functions.

Serve on, participate in and attend various committees and meetings of the facility to enhance interdisciplinary process.

Other duties as assigned.
