Job summary

Horizons Care Center, a VOA National Services affiliate, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct resident care on-site in Eckert, CO. The role emphasizes compassionate leadership, shift coordination, and adherence to the Nurse Practice Act.

CPR certification and Colorado RN licensure are required; long-term care experience is preferred. We offer a supportive campus environment with opportunities for growth, a comprehensive benefits package, and pay at $49 per hour for PRN work.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents using the nursing process.
• Plan, direct and carry out shift routines in assigned unit.

• Attend facility committees and meetings to support interdisciplinary processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

The Registered Nurse is to utilize the nursing process in planning and providing direct care to residents as assigned. The nurse will plan, direct and carry out shift routines in assigned nursing unit and observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel as the person “in charge” according to the Nurse Practice Act. Will assume “Building Charge” responsibilities as directed by the DON or Designee.

• Provides leadership and direction in the assigned unit.
• Resident Care Functions.
• Charting, Documentation and Assessment Functions.
  
• Serve on, participate in and attend various committees and meetings of the facility to enhance interdisciplinary process.
• Other duties as assigned.
