Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of El Paso is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our unit. You will provide, direct, and supervise patient care using the nursing process, with interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning. You will educate patients and families for post-hospital care and help connect them with community resources.

Holds active RN licensure in the state or a compact license. BLS is required, ACLS within 90 days of employment, and ACLS is required for Charge Nurses.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses; must be AHA approved within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
