PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of El Paso is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care on the inpatient unit under the direction of nursing leadership. You will apply the nursing process to plan, direct, and evaluate care, and participate in discharge planning and patient education.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license in the state, with ACLS (and BLS) certifications within 90 days of start; cardio-respiratory roles prioritized.

Qualifications

• Holds a current RN license in the state of practice.
• ACLS certification expected within 90 days of hire; BLS required.
• One year of inpatient nursing experience preferred.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
