Job summary

Signature HealthCARE Westmoreland in Tennessee is hiring an RN for night shift to provide direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor residents, and supervise nursing assistants. A TN RN license and CPR/BLS are required or preferred, with 1+ year of clinical experience, especially in long-term care.

You will develop care plans with an interdisciplinary team, document accurately, and participate in admissions, transfers, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice (Tennessee).
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Monitor and observe residents’ status and notify physician or responsible party of changes.
• Develop and review individualized resident care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per facility policy.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and regulatory surveys.

How you Will make a difference

• Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience, preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role, preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
